Weekly Message

As we enter the final week of this academic year, lots of celebrations are taking place:

  • All classes have now chosen how to spend the money they have accumulated for good attendance over the year. Bouncy castles, discos and Brazilian themed days are high on the agenda ! Thank you to FORPA for funding all of these treats for the children.
  • Y6 are rehearsing for their performance of “A Flight to Brazil” to be held here in school on Thursday night at 6pm.
  • Y6 are also planning their Leavers’ Assembly, which will take place next Tuesday morning at 9.15 a.m.
  • FORPA are involved in the last minute preparations for the Leavers’ Disco, which will be a highlight for Y6 on Tuesday evening at 7 pm.
  • The 2nd day of Circus Skills will be on Thursday this week. Those children  who took part last week really enjoyed the juggling and balancing involved.

Last week I was very proud of Y5 as they took part in 2 dances as part of UCAN’s end of year performence “When You Wish Upon a Star”. Many of our ex-pupils also acted, danced or sang during the production. It was delightful to see how they have grown and developed as young people.

Thank you to those of you who have returned the reply slip enclosed with your child’s end of year report. It seems that the new format has been well-received.

As this is likely to be the last message I post as Principal, I would like to take this  opportunity to wish all members of the Rudheath Community the very best for the future.
